November  |  Titans care

Titans Care is our school-wide community service event. During the weeks leading up to the event, students learned about various non-profit organizations in our area and how they could contribute to those organizations.Teachers and students discussed the topics of food insecurity, homelessness, and the needs of those undergoing medical treatment.

In 2022 we collected donations of non-perishable food items, socks, hygiene items, soda pop tops and art supplies. The night of the event, families decorated lunch bags for Lunches of Love, created activity kits for patients of Texas Childrens Hospital, and made hygiene bags for clients at The Star of Hope.

Save the date! Our next Titans Care event is November 7, 2023. We'll see you there!

Former NBA star Chris Herren visited our 8th graders and shared his story of fame, drug addiction, recovery, and finding out what truly matters in life.

Parent Programs

Throughout the year, PTSA hosts several parent programs. Previous topics have included cyber bullying, vaping and drug awareness, saving for your child's future education needs, navigating the transition from junior high to high school, and more. Our goal is to engage with fellow parents and offer informative sessions that meet the needs of our parents. If there's a topic you would be interested in learning more about, please email programs@taysjhptsa.org.
